Energy Cells
Energy Security Platform
Moira Visuals designed and developed the Energy Cells digital platform to communicate a mission critical infrastructure project strengthening Lithuania’s energy independence and grid resilience.

Client and Collaboration Overview
We collaborated closely with Energy Cells to translate a highly technical national energy infrastructure initiative into a clear, credible, and accessible digital experience. The work required alignment between strategic communication, information architecture, and UX and UI design. Our role was to structure complex system level data into a narrative understandable to policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the general public. The project operated at the intersection of energy technology, national security communication, and digital product design. The collaboration prioritised clarity, trust, and institutional reliability. The platform was conceived as a long term communication asset rather than a short term campaign solution, with scalability and transparency guiding all design decisions.

Project Objectives
The primary objective was to clearly explain the role of large scale energy storage within Lithuania’s national energy system. The platform needed to communicate the scope of the battery storage system with a capacity of 200 MW and 200 MWh in a way that felt tangible and credible. Another key goal was to demonstrate the system’s ability to supply electricity to consumers within one second in the event of a grid disruption. The website also had to contextualise Energy Cells’ role in Lithuania’s synchronisation with the European grid system. Explaining the strategic importance of disconnecting from the BRELL ring without overwhelming users with technical detail was critical. Digital clarity, trust building UX, and a strong information hierarchy were central requirements. The platform needed to function both as a public communication tool and an institutional reference point.

Project Outcomes
We delivered a structured and content driven website that clearly communicates Energy Cells’ technological and strategic value. Complex energy concepts were translated into intuitive content flows supported by a clear visual hierarchy and restrained interface design. The platform highlights system capacity, response speed, and national impact in a concise and readable manner. UX decisions prioritised clarity, scannability, and credibility across devices. The final result positions Energy Cells as a reliable and future oriented infrastructure operator within the European energy ecosystem. The platform now functions as a digital reference for energy security, grid resilience, and national energy transition.
